Sympathy: Dromard GAA extends its sympathy to the Clarke family on the death of Pat
Clarke, Gortletteragh. Pat was a well-known and respected teacher at Moyne Community
School for many years and always had a keen interest in the fortunes of Dromard GAA and
all our players who attended the school. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.
Monthly Members Draw: Congratulations to the winners of our Special Members Draw for
March. The €500 prize was won by Elizabeth O’Reilly, Crott with €100 each won by
Bernadette Reynolds, Corglass; Graham Owens, Kilticon; and John O’Toole, Corrick. Thank
you to all our members for your support.
National Football League: Congratulations to the Longford senior footballers on their fine
win over Sligo at Pearse Park on Saturday. The victory secures Longford’s position in the
highly competitive Division 3 for another year. Well done to Joseph Hagan who came on as a
substitute against Sligo and to Padraic Davis, Dromard’s Danny O’Toole and the rest of the
Longford players and management team. With their position in Division 3 secured, Longford
can look forward to their final game, a local derby against Westmeath on Sunday. Throw in at
Cusack Park, Mullingar is at 2pm.

Dromard Ladies Club Notes
Newly Weds: Congratulations to Senior player and Club Secretary Imelda Reynolds and her
husband Brian Higgins who got married in Legga on Saturday. Dromard GAA wishes you
many years of health and happiness together.
County Matters: Three of our County Panels were in action over St.Patrick's weekend,
Seniors, Minors and U14s and we will round up the scores and what they all mean in next
weeks notes.
Fixtures: County Senior Panel are in action in round 6 of Div 3 on Sun 24 March v
Roscommon in Dr.Hyde Park throw in Noon. Good Luck to our own Mairead Reynolds and
her teammates and management. Nearer home in round 3 of the Gold Cup, our Senior Panel,
minus county players entertain Clonguish. Throw in is at 12 15pm,and we would appreciate
all your support.
Training: After breaking for Holiday Monday, training is back for all girls born between
2005 and 2009 incl. this Mon at 6pm on the Astro. We still encourage girls born 2003, 2004
to continue training with Seniors. Excitement is now growing as Championship starts in April
for both our U12s and our U16s. Every parent should now have a complete list of fixture
dates for all Championship panels, but if not contact Bernie and he will provide them.

Cúl Camp: Anybody still wanting to be considered to help run the County Cul Camps this
Summer can still contact Deirdre or Bernie for an application form. You need to be 18+ by
July 1st to apply for paid positions, and 16+ by May 1st for volunteer positions.3 girls did it
last year from our club and loved every minute of it, so don't be shy.
Dromard Members Draw: The March draw has been made and it's nice to see two of the
four prizes on offer won by Eleanor and Emily O'Reilly's mammy Elizabeth, and Sarah
Reynolds mammy Bernadette. Well done Ladies and thanks for your continued support for
the whole Dromard club.
Birthdays: Two young ladies this week. Firstly Senior player Alannah Reilly, and of course
her twin sister Ciara, both will be 19yrs on Friday, and also Eleanor O'Reilly who will be
10yrs on Monday.
