Emmet Og club notes

Our under 20 team captured the championship title on Sunday last, in this the inaugural year of this grade in Longford Football when we had a good win over a Mostrim/Sean Connollys amalgamation. Well done to trainer Kevin Dooner and his mangement team as well as the entire panel. This was a fantastic achievemnt  following up last weekends minor title.  

 

Best of luck to Brid Mc Goldrick, the National Healthy club chairperson who will open the GAAs National healthy club conference on Saturday October 20th in Croke Park. Clubs from all over Ireland will be present. Killoe, Emmet Og Healthy club team will present their project at the event. Thank you to everyone in Killoe that participated and helped make this project a reality. Three short videos will soon be available. Please check out Killoe GAA's Facebook page during the week for information. A fourth community summary video/DVD will be available to purchase before Christmas.

 

Our lotto draw for a jackpot of €3,300 took place in on Sunday night in the Olde Forge and the numbers drawn were 19, 24, 26 and 28. Unfortunately there was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Kevin Bracken, Clondra, Alish Rowley, New York, John Caldwell, Clonmacart, Ellen Brady, Boher and Eamon Reynolds, Longford. This weeks sellers prize went to Joe Leonard. Many thanks to all who support our lotto on an ongoing basis. 

 

Finally this week, we  offer our deepest condolences to Michelle Hughes, Colm and family, Farragh on the death of Michelles mother in Scotland this week. May she rest in peace.
