Yesterday's Longford SHC final was over 20 minutes late in starting after the appointed referee's car broke down en route to Glennon Bros Pearse Park.

Cavan's John Emo arrived late at the county grounds and was replaced on the whistle by linesman Charlie Candon from Roscommon. Butlersbridge whistler Emo took over as linesman on his arrival.

Martin Coyle scored the only goal as Wolfe Tones Mostrim completed a six-in-a-row with a 1-11 to 0-10 victory over Clonguish Gaels.
