ALL ROADS LEAD TO BRUFF!!!

 

FOR THE COUNTY SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GROUP 1 ROUND 5 AGAINST MONALEEN, ON THIS COMING SUNDAY AUGUST 20TH, IN BRUFF, AT 7PM, REFEREE JOHN SCULLY (GALBALLY). PLEASE SUPPORT OUR SENIOR FOOTBALLERS!!!

 

So far in the championship, in round 1 we defeated Na Pairsaigh on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1- 5, in round 2 we drew with Rathkeale on a scoreline of 0-12 to 1-09, in round 3 we defeated Adare on a scoreline of 1-18 to 3-05, in round 4 we lost to Fr. Casey's on a scoreline of 3-10 to 0-11, the last round of fixtures take place on this coming Sunday August 20th, Dromcollogher/ Broadford VS Monaleen, in Bruff, at 7pm, Na Pairsaigh VS Fr. Casey's, in Croagh, at 7pm and Adare VS Rathkeale, in Askeaton, at 7pm. The table going into the last round is a follows Monaleen 7 points +22, Fr. Casey's 5 points +1, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 5 points +10, Adare 4 points -1, Na Pairsaigh 2 points -15 and Rathkeale 1 point -17.

This was a very tight game played down in Knockaderry, on last Tuesday night, the goals on the night came from Jack Pierce two goals, Shane Ryan and Darragh a goal each, this win puts into the final against Granagh/ Ballingarry, in the group stages we lost to Granagh/ Ballingarry on a scoreline of 6-14 to 2-11, come Friday evening will be looking for revenge from the group stages defeat. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two pointed frees coming from Damien Burke and Dan Noonan and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla replied with a point to leave a point between the sides. Dan Noonan scored the next point coming from play for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave two points between the sides once again and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the next three points to take the lead by a point for the first time during the game. Damien Burke scored the next point coming from play to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game. Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the next point to take lead once again and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four point all coming from Damien Burke two from frees and two from play to leave three points between sides. Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the last point of the half to leave a point between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-8 to Killeedy/ Tournafulla 0-6.

 

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first 2-1 of the second half with the goals coming from Darragh Stack and Jack Pierce and point came from Shane Ryan with 35 minutes gone in the game to leave nine points between the sides and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the next goal of the game to leave six points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the two points coming from James Molyneaux and Damien Burke scored the next two points of the game both coming from play and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the two points to leave six points between the sides. Jack Pierce scored his second goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave nine points between the sides with 42 minutes gone in the game and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the next 1-1 of the game to leave six points between the sides with 47 minutes gone in the game. Damien Burke scored the next point of the game coming from a free to leave seven points between the sides and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the next point to leave six points between the sides once again. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the goal of the game coming from Shane Ryan with 45 minutes gone in the game to leave nine points between the sides and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the goal of the game to leave five points between the sides with 47 minutes gone in the game and then Damien Burke scored two more pointed frees for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave seven points between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 4-14 to Killeedy/ Tournafulla 3-10.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

 

Results of the 258th draw took place on Monday August 14th, in Begley's Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 5, 18, 22 and 32 there was no winner of the jackpot of €10,100 and there also was one winner match three at €100 and that was Gavin Keane, Broadford and the two lucky dips of €50 each were: Mary Noonan Dromcollogher and Conor McLoughlin, Knocktoosh. Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night August 21st, in The Corner House, Dromcollogher, at 10.15pm sharp, the jackpot going up to €10,200 (Win or share) and the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

 

Membership

 

Players membership/Insurance is overdue for this season. We are asking all players to make payment of €50 students €30 before next championship game and can be paid to the following Team captains Jason Stokes and Paul Madigan and Chairman Denis O Carroll and Jim Barry Secretary. Please note that all players must have membership paid before next championship game. Club membership for non-players is also due for payment at a cost of €30. Your cooperation will be very much appreciated.

 

Non-Stop Draw

 

Please note the last non-step draw will now take place on Sunday August 27th, after 11am mass in Dromcollogher Church, you can still join the draw for €20 for the last month of the draw.

 

Sympathy

 

The above club would to wish its deepest sympathy to the Keane family of Clouncourivane, Castlemahon on death of Joe Keane RIP, Joe was Survived by his daughters Ashling and Sinead, son Gavin, brothers Con and Liam, sisters Carmel, Anne, Margaret, Sheila and Kathleen, grandson Joey, nephews, nieces, grandnieces, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, relatives and friends. Joe was used coach teams with John Brudair in Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Gavin his son also played full-back for Dromcollogher/ Broadford for many years, may Joe rest in peace.
