Our Fun Friday was a terrific success with a huge turnout. The mixed doubles tennis started at 6pm and finished at 9.30pm. The winners were: 1s tEithne Harty, David Burns, Mary Meskell and Matt Cannon. 2nd Eileen Aylward, Ian Murray, Catriona O'Dwyer and Pat O'Shaughnessy and 3rd Gillian Carragher, Morgan Mansfield, Brendan Carragher and Yvonne Sheahan. All the prizewinners graciously stayed on to celebrate their successes and regale us with story after story of how their triumphs had been engineered!! Apart from that, a great night/early morning was had by one and all! Thanks to Gillian and Pat for organising and ordering the Tuscany PIZZAS! Our next fun tournament is scheduled for the shortest day of the year [Wed 21/12].

We had another very successful weekend of Winter League Tennis for the club. Our Grade 6 men made the trip to sunny Tralee and came home with an excellent 4-0 win. Congrats to Ian Murry, Brendan Maguire, Gerry McCague and Des O'Sullivan. Our Grade 4 team of Morgan Mansfield, Brendan Carragher, John Harkins and Sorin Slavescu welcomed the Sunday's Well men's team to Monaleen. Our lads had a great 3-1 win which leaves them in pole position in their group. The standard of play was very high and it was nice to showcase our new courts to the visitors. Well done to all involved.
