Ballybricken-Bohermore take on Ballysteen

A Limerick football final which was originally scheduled to take place last June has been re-fixed for this weekend.

According to the Limerick Leader, the junior 'B' league final between Ballybricken-Bohermore and Ballysteen, which was meant to have been played at the Na Piarsaigh grounds on June 25, will now take place in Croom on Saturday.

Ballybricken-Bohermore were bizarrely awarded the title on June 25 after confusion had arisen over the availability of the Na Piarsaigh ground. When the Ballysteen players turned up half an hour before the game was due to start at 8pm, there was an underage blitz taking place on the pitch and so they decided to leave.

Ballybricken-Bohermore were subsequently presented with the trophy, but they have now sportingly offered to replay the final.
