U21 County Championship
Fr. Caseys 4-17 Patrickswell 1-06

Fr. Caseys Under 21 Footballers began their county championship campaign last Friday night facing an unknown quantity in Patrickswell. A club more renowned for their Hurling triumphs, we knew they would pose a very strong physical threat but little was none of their football prowess. Fr. Caseys are looking to win the Under 21 title for the first time since 2011. This year's team claimed County Minor honours three years ago and they will be anxious to continue their winning streak for as long as possible.

Fr. Caseys made a perfect start to the game and raced into a very comfortable 2-06 to 0-05 half time lead. The two first half goals came from Daniel Daly and Jamie O'Connor. Fr. Caseys picked up from where they left off after the break adding a further 2-11 to the scoreboard while Patrickswell only registered 1-01 in reply. Paudie Smith and Pa O'Connor were the second half goal scorers while Jack Breen introduced at half time registered 0-04 on his return to action. Adrian Enright also gave a very commanding performance with 0-02 from midfield. While tougher challenges awaits this team, credit must be given to all players who performed admirably. If they continue with their positive displays and large attendance at training then they won't be too far away from county honours.

Our Under 21 Footballers will now play Tory Gaels in their remaining group game knowing that a draw will guarantee a Quarter Final position. Tory Gaels who contested the 2014 County Minor Final against Fr. Caseys will not be lacking in the skills department and a tough challenge is expected. That game will take place next Saturday November 21st in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale at 3.00pm. Your support at this game would be greatly appreciated.

National Club Draw
Fr. Caseys GAA Club are currently visiting houses in the parish of Abbeyfeale to sell tickets for the upcoming GAA National Club Draw. This fundraising initiative is one of the main sources of revenue for our local club annually so we would strongly encourage the people of Abbeyfeale to please support us when we call. To continue to provide adequate facilities and further develop our club teams and grounds we need to rely on your generosity. There are very few homes in our parish that haven't a connection with our club, few people who haven't shared memorable days with us as a players or supporters. To continue to keep the tradition of Fr. Caseys GAA Club alive and strong for the next generation we need everyone to make a special effort to support this fundraiser.

In total there are 14 fantastic prizes up for grabs including a brand new Opel Corsa, a foreign trip with the 2016 GAA All Stars, numerous All-Ireland Hurling & Football Corporate Packages and Shopping Vouchers valued at €1,000. The cost of the tickets is €10 and all funds raised will be retained by our local club. Further details can be seen at www.gaa.ie/nationalclubdraw
