INTERMEDIATE: Intermediates travelled back to Clarina last Friday evening to play their final group game of the championship against Knockaderry.
The first half Knockaderry has the better of the play and were creating a lot of chances from both play and frees and soon had a big lead built up however we did get back into the game and a goal late in the first half by Theo Butler gave us something to work on for the second half. The halftime score Knockaderry 1-12 Caherline 1-2.
The second half was a total reversal as from the start we had Knockaderry under pressure and this started to pay off on the scoreboard with points from play from Andrew Brennan , David Casey , Cathal Finucane and Hughie McGuire from frees it was Kevin Wixted and Andrew Brennan.
In the second half we scored eleven points and held Knockaderry scoreless for twenty minutes. The game was in the balance right up to the final whistle and it was Knockaderry who took the win at the final whistle on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-13.
Well done to all who played on the evening great heart and determination shown in the second half.
This is all now all our group games over with and we now unfortunately find ourselves in the relegation final of this year's intermediate championship we will play Claughaun in the regelation final.

U16S: U16s made the short trip to neighbours Kilteely on Monday 24th August  to play in Division 3 15 a side championship. This was a highly competitive game of hurling with both sides well up for the game. The first half was very even for a long time with both sides having a number of goals chances and some very good points taking.Kilteely/Dromkeen who took the goal chances with one from play and their second from a penalty and at the halftime whistle it was Kiteely/Dromkeen 2-5 Caherline 0-2.
The second half right from the start of the half we took control with good work rate by our midfield and half forward line we had reduced the lead by three points and we continued this pressure on our hosts but a couple of attacks did not yield any more good fortune for us as the half wore on Kiteely/Dromkeen got back in to the game and start to pull ahead on the scoreboard. I have to say credit to our lads they stuck to the task and never gave up as in all games this season and played right to the end final score on the evening Kilteely/Dromkeen 2-14 Caherline 0-6.
Well done to the lads on the evening for the effort and work rate put in.
