U8 Football Blitz

On Friday night we travelled to Rathkeale to take part in an U8 Football Blitz.  This blitz was organised by the Limerick County Board.  On the night we had a panel of seventeen players, we divided up into two teams with one team of 8 and another with 9.  This is a very encouraging seen our number of players turning up to the blitzes and to training.  Our two teams performed very well in all there 3 games, you could see a vast improvement in all there players and all of them seemed to be enjoying themselves.  This is what the blitzes are for them to have some fun, improve their skill levels and of course make new friends with their own team mates and with the players they are playing against.  A big thank you to all the parents for transporting all the players, it was great to see a lot of support for the players. Thank you to all the coaches for helping out with both teams.  On behalf of Dromcollogher / Broadford we would like to thank Ger Downes and James Ryan for the well organised blitz on the night it was very efficient.  All our players were delighted with James Ryan standing in for a team photo with them and for taking time for signing there toys and jerseys on the night.  Next up will be a blitz in hurling.  Just a reminder to all players and parents,  the club will be holding a cúl camp in Dromcollogher on the 27th of July for a week,  this should be a great week for players of fun and good coaching on both hurling and football, there is also lovely gear for the players this year.
