Important Championship Weekend
Championship action begins this weekend for our Senior, Junior and Minor teams who face three difficult first round ties in the opening round of their respective championships. On Friday night our Senior Footballers face Newcastle West in Tournafulla at 7pm in the opening round of the championship. When both teams met at the same stage last season Fr. Caseys prevailed by a single point. Last month both teams squared up once more in the Quarter Final of the West Championship and it was Newcastle West who gained revenge on that occasion. When these two local rivals meet we are always guaranteed a great game and I have no doubt next Friday will be the same with an extremely close encounter expected. Hopefully a large crowd from Abbeyfeale can make the short trip to cheer on the boys in blue.

Also on Friday night our Minor Footballers will begin the defense of their County Title with a home tie against Monaleen. In a very competitive group which also contains St. Patricks and Newcastle West it will be vital to gain the early momentum but a very strong test is expected from their city rivals. This game kicks off at 7pm in Abbeyfeale.

On Saturday evening our Junior A Footballers start their West Championship campaign against Cappagh/Kilcornan. Fr. Caseys prevailed with a four point victory when these teams met at the same stage last season. We will be more than happy with a similar result but nothing will be easy against a Cappagh/Kilcornan side with plenty of talent.

The next Spin and Win Draw will be held next Sunday April 26th in Leens Hotel at 9.30pm. With the jackpot not won last weekend, the prize fund will increase to €3,300 for the coming draw. The four players spinning the wheel next weekend are as follows:
