Congratulations

Congratulations to Jack Neville, Donie Nestor and John Anglim who received their awards at the West Board banquet at the Rathkeale House Hotel recently.


Cheltenham Tipping Competition is Back!

Ballysteen GAA  club are delighted to announce the return of their very popular Cheltenham tipping competition. Test your tipping skills to be in with a chance to win. The rules are simple:
Pick one horse for any 3 of the races each day (10th-13th March)
Winnings calculated based on a fictional €5 e/w bet on each of your horses
Win by having the most money at the end of the week
Winner takes all minimum guaranteed prize of €200

West Draws

The West Draws were made recently.
Ballysteen Seniors are playing Athea in the second round of the West Senior Football Championship. Ballysteen's Junior B Football Championship group includes Rathkeale, Athea, Glin, St Kierans. The Minor A Football Group is Ballysteen, Mountcollins/Athea, Deel Rangers and Shannon Gaels. There will be 1 round of the Minor Championship played in April and then there will be a break until after the exams.


County League

The first round of the All County Football League is to begin on the weekend of 7,8 March and Ballysteen are due to play their neighbours St Senans. Ballysteen are in the County Football League Division Two. The top 2 teams will get promoted and the bottom 2 get relegated. There is only a final for Division One. It is important that Ballysteen get promoted this year. Ballysteen are well capable of winning all their matches and getting promoted to Division one. The other 7 teams in Ballysteen's group are Adare, Castlemahon , Galbally, Mountcollins, Oola, Pallasgreen, St Senans.

Gaeltacht Scholarships 2015

All applicants must be club members, male or female either playing our games or involved in Scór. The €350 scholarships are for secondary school pupils only. They apply only to residential colleges under Comharchumann Chorca Dhuibhne(West Kerry); Coláiste Béal Atha an Ghaorthaigh(West Cork) or Coláiste na Roinne (Port Láirge) Anyone who is interested can contact Paul Anglim(Irish Cultural Officer) on 0872838990


Senior Scór Table Quiz Final

The Senior Scór Table Quiz Final will be held in Castlemahon Community Centre on Wednesday March 18th at 8p.m. Clubs may enter more than one team; the entry fee for each team of four is €20. The winning team will represent Limerick in the All Ireland Scór finals on April 25th in CityWest Dublin.

Ballysteen 2015 10km Run

The 4th annual Ballysteen GAA 10km / 5km run will be held Saturday, 11th of April. Set along a scenic route, bringing participants along the banks of the Shannon Estuary, the event has gone from strength to strength and is now a firm favourite for runners of all levels in the Limerick region.
With both a 10km & 5km course available, this event is the ideal preparation for anyone planning on taking part in the Great Limerick Run in May. We look forward to seeing you on the day!

Limerick GAA Club Draw 2015

Ballysteen GAA are promoting the Limerick Club Draw for 2015. The total prize fund is over €340,000. There are 10 monthly draws at a cost of €10 month. The first draw will be in March.
