January 26, 2015LOTTO: The jackpot currently stands at €6,900. There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €6,600. The numbers drawn were 5, 7, 8 and 22. Lucky dip winners were E. O'Gorman, L. Casey, D. Richardson and P. Gallagher.. Tickets can be purchased on a weekly basis from local shops and pubs. Please support us as this support is vital to the development of the club.
Monaleen's Strictly Come Dancing held it's Launch last Friday night in the clubhouse. A great turn out, with craic and banter abounding. This promises to be one of the greatest Community events this year, so get out the calendars and mark in the 27th March - South Court hotel. WATCH THIS SPACE!!
HARTY CUP: Well done to Castletroy College in reaching the semi final of the HARTY CUP after an impressive win against Youghal last week. This sets up a semi final clash against Thurles next Saturday, with the venue yet to be confirmed
Well done Mark, Jamie, Conor, John, Darren, Lorcan, Andrew and all the rest of the Monaleen lads involved.
U21 & Junior B Hurling: Our victorious U21 and Junior B hurlers will be honoured in the Clubhouse on Friday night from 8pm. Anthony Daly will be present on the night to present medals and the craic will be mighty.
Monaleen Road Hurling: The Road Hurling Committee will present the Monaleen Cancer Support group with a cheque of the proceeds from this years event this Friday night in the CLUBHOUSE on Friday at 10pm. The CLAMPERS will be playing on the night and it's gonna be a late one.

JUVENILE HURLING & FOOTBALL:
Training Times: All ages are on their winter break at the moment. The coaches will be in touch in when training resumes.
NEW JUVENILE PRO: Following the departure of our last PRO Caroline O'Kane to take up the post of the Chairperson of the Senior Club, John Gleeson has stepped into the position of PRO. We wish him all the best in his role.
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR JUVENILE MEMBERS - www.monaleen.gaa.ie and follow the link on the homepage- Many thanks to all who have registered their children already, if you have not done so, please register your child as soon as possible - there will not be a registration day in the club this year.. Please note also that the registration fees have risen this year for the first time in several years - an instalment plan is available over four months for those who wish to avail of this option. CLUBHOUSE ACTIVITIES:
OSTEOFIT classes have resumed every Wednesday afernoon in the Clubhouse.
If you are in your 60s 70s or 80s and would like to participate in exercise classes in your area OSTEOFIT classes might be of interest to you. OSTEOFIT group exercise classes are specially designed for both men and women in this age group and aim to maintain bone density, improve strength and flexibility, improve balance and reduce the risk of falling. Monaleen GAA welcomes Slimming World to the clubhouse each Tuesday. Class times are as follows: 9.30. 11.30. 3.30, 5.30 and 7.30. Everyone is welcome.
CLUB GEAR: Monaleen Club Sports Gear is available to purchase from the Castletroy Car Care shop next to SuperValu in the Castletroy Shopping Centre.
Monaleen GAA Club car stickers are now available from the clubhouse and a variety of sellers. €3 each or 2 for €5. Proudly show your support for your club.
