Ahane Ladies Football Celebrate

Ahane held their Annual Presentation of medals on Sunday, 14 December in Ahane GAA Club House.  Currently the Club has over one hundred and twenty players playing in the following age groups: Under 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and Junior. The Club was honoured that Rene Buckley, Cork's All Ireland Senior Dual Star and Medal Winner in Gaelic Football and Camogie, joined us to present the medals to the girls.  The following Teams were honoured on the night: Under 6, 8 and 10 Parish League Medal Winners, Under 11B Co Blitz Winners, Under 12 Co Champions, Under 14 Co Finalists and our Under 16 Team, who claimed our first A Shield Title. Presentations were made on the night to Club Players: Aisling Herbert and Sinead Callinan who were members of the Limerick's County Under 14 Team that won Munster, All Ireland Blitz and All Ireland Champions Honours. Rene Buckley was also honoured on the night.  Our thanks to all the players, Coaches, Mentors, Parents, Supporters, Padraig Power and Ahane GAA Club, James O'Keeffe for excellent Photographs, The Local Primary Schools, Referees, Martin Naughton, Limerick Leader and to everybody who helped us during the year to promote, enjoy and play Gaelic Football.  Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and looking forward to the 2015 season.
