St Patricks club notes

U21 Footballers:
Our U21 footballers continue their winning ways when they defeated Tory Gaels (Crecora/Croom) in the final round league game of the City U21 football championship. Playing at home under lights last Friday evening we were ahead at the half time whistle by 1-05 to 0-05 but in the second half we took complete control of the game and finish with ten points to spare 3-11 to 1-07 we now meet Na Piarsaigh in the City championship final. We lined out as follows Jamie Stewart, James Madden, Ryan Meagher, Dean Kirwan, Gavin Mullins, Shane Halpin, Liam Broderick, Gearoid Hegarty, Jason Mullins, Brian Bennett, Aaron Nunan, Colin Daly, Evan O Connor, Mark Long and Adam Guerin. Sub used were Damien Stack for Adam Guerin (54mins) and Ryan McNamara for Mark Long (59mins).  Scorers were Mark Long (1-01), Colin Daly ( 1-00) Ryan McNamara (1-00),  Evan O Connor (0-03), Gearoid Hegarty (0-02), Shane Halpin (0-01), Jason Mullins (0-01), Aaron Nunan (0-01) and  Adam Guerin
(0-01).
Sympathies:
All at the club was sad to hear of the death of Moss McCarthy Dad of our Senior and U21 football coach Moss McCarthy. Mr McCarthy was formerly of Pike St Dromcollogher. A lot of our club senior and U21 players and officers attend the funeral in Dromcollogher and the Club would like to sympathies to Moss and his Family on this sad occasion.
Upcoming Events:
Now that events on the field is nearly coming to a close but the committee will still be very active and support for the upcoming events will be needed when asked such as Clothes collection, Leaflets Drops, Christmas Draw, Underage Awards, Christmas underage party etc. Please Don't wait to be asked come along and volunteer.
Underage Meeting:
Our underage section of the club held their first meeting last Thursday evening to plan ahead for 2015. The Underage committee lead by Chairperson Hannah Phelan, Secretary Emma Byrnes and P.R.O. Aoife  Hogan will leave no stone unturned to get St. Patrick's underage teams ready for action for the new season. Plenty of ideas were put on the table for the committee to work on during the off season and these will be put into place over the coming weeks. Committee members that attended  the meeting were James Broderick, Sean Maher, Owen O Shaughnessy, Colm O Brien, Ray Hogan, Eamonn Phelan, Deirdre Quigley, Ian Blake. The committee is still open to new members to come along to the next meeting on Thursday December 4th at 8pm
GAA National Draw:
Once again the G.A.A. will run a national draw for all clubs around the country with top class prizes on offer. The club took part in this draw last year and the club were very successful with the draw that the club decided to enter the draw again this year. Tickets will be available from the Committee over the next week or Please support when asked.
