Notes for Wednesday and Thursday 15th and 16th of October 2014

DROMCOLLOGHER/ BROADFORD BRING BACK THE WEST MINOR B HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

West Minor B Hurling Championship Final

Templeglantine  2-09

This was a very tight with the Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming out on top after a thrilling encounter with the goal on the night coming from Gearóid Downey, Gearóid also cleared a good few balls out of defence on the night with Denis Donegan scoring 0-10 with 6 from frees and 4 from play and the other scores on the night were Daniel Noonan and Damien Burke two points each.  Congrats and best of luck against Cappamore, on this coming Saturday October 18th, in Martinstown, at 5pm.  Please Support our Minor Hurlers.

Denis Donegan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Michael Sexton exchanged the first four scores of the game with two points each.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford took the lead again scoring the next three points with two from Denis Donegan and the other point coming Damien Burke and then Templeglantine then scored the next 1-1 to take the lead for the first time during the with the goal coming from Michael Sexton and the point coming from Jamie O'Brien.  Denis Donegan scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring the sides back on level terms for the third during the game.  Denis Donegan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Michael Sexton of Templeglantine exchanged points again and then Michael Sexton scored the next two points for Templeglantine just before the break the give them the lead once again.  To leave the score at half-time Templeglantine 1-5 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-06.

Templeglantine scored the next first two points both coming from Michael Sexton to lead by four points and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford then scored the next the 1-4 with the goal coming from Gearóid Downey and the four points all coming from Denis Donegan four pointed frees to leave three points between the sides with 48 minutes gone in the game.  Templeglantine then scored the next 1-1 of the game with the goal coming from Cian Larkin and the point coming from Chris Scannell to lead by a point again.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to the lead once again and these points came from Damien Burke and Daniel Noonan and then Templeglantine then scored the next point coming from Cian Larkin to bring sides back on level terms for the fifth time during the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford had the last the say in the game with two more points and these points came from Denis Donegan and Daniel Noonan to seal the victory by two points and to bring back the West Minor B Hurling Championship to Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club and John Quaid presented the cup to Declan Stack captain.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 122nd draw took place on Monday Night last October 13th, in Begley's Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 1, 6, 30 and 31, there was no winner of jackpot at €13,400 and there also was no winner of the match three at €100 and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Mike Madigan, Dromcollogher and Noel Morrissey, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday October 20th, in The Corner House, Dromcollogher, with the jackpot going up to €13,500 (win or share) and with the match three going up to  €150 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Membership

Membership for the above club €20 playing and non-playing in both adults and Students for this year is now overdue since March 31st, please pay to the relevant people you are not covered to play unless you have your membership paid in full.

Church Gate Collection

The above club will holding its annual church Gate Collection this weekend in both Dromcollogher and Broadford Churches, in Broadford on Saturday evening October 18th at 7.30pm and Sunday morning October 19th at 9.30am and in Dromcollogher on Sunday morning on October 19th at 11am. Please Support.
