County Intermediate Hurling Cup:
The intermediate hurlers saw off the challenge of city side Claughaun on Saturday afternoon in the County Cup semi final in Adare. An end of season competition for the fourth/fifth placed sides in each group it provides each team with an opportunity to secure some silverware after a long season. In 2013 we suffered heartbreak at the death in the final to Monaleen. A strong performance on Saturday afternoon against a Claughaun side that narrowly missed out in qualification put us on our way to a seven point victory and secure a final place against Caherline who had a good victory over Kildimo/Pallaskenry in their semi final. We faced off against Caherline in the 2013 county championship in an ill-tempered game in which there was no settling the two sides as we shared the spoils on the night. The county cup final will take place this Saturday evening at 8 0' clock in Martinstown under lights.
