Notes for Wednesday and Thursday 17th and 18th of September 2014

Results:

West Minor A and B Hurling Championship Round 7

Newcastle West   3-14
Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-16

This was a very tight game with Newcastle West running out winners at end of the game by seven points, this loss puts into the West Minor B Hurling Championship Final against the winners of Semi-Final between Askeaton/ St. Kieran's and Templeglantine, on week-ending August 28th, more details during the week.  Please Support our Minor Hurlers.

Shane Murphy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the game and then Newcastle West replied with the next 2 points to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game.  Padráig Ahern scored his first pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to put us back into lead again and then Newcastle West replied with another point to bring sides on level terms once again for the second time during the game.  Shane Murphy scored another point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give us back the lead once again and then Newcastle West replied with another point to bring on level terms once again for the third time during the game.  Padraig Ahern scored another pointed free to give us back the lead once again and then Newcastle West scored their first goal of the game to take the lead by two points for the first time during the game with 12 minutes gone in the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points with two of these points coming from Padráig Ahern and the other point came from Shane Murphy and then Newcastle West scored the next point to bring sides back on level terms once again for the fourth time during the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points just before the end of the half to lead by three points at the break and these points came from Shane Murphy, Padráig Ahern and Damien Burke.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-11 to Newcastle West 1-05.

Padráig Ahern scored another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Newcastle West scored the next two points to leave two points between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points and these points came and with two of these points coming from Padraig Ahern and the other point came from Jack O'Sullivan.  Newcastle West scored the next 1-2 to bring sides back on level terms for the fifth time during the game and then Padráig Ahern scored the point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give us back the lead once again and then Newcastle West scored the next point to bring sides back on level terms for the sixth during the game.  Newcastle West scored the next 1-4 just before the end of the game to give them the victory over us.  To leave the score at full-time Newcastle West 3-14 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-16.

U13 All County Hurling League Division 3B Round 1

We defeated Granagh/ Ballingarry on a scoreline of 5-1 to 2-08, this was a game of two halves, Granagh/ Ballingarry lead by 1-7 to no score at half-time, but then Dromcollogher/ Broadford outscored Granagh/ Ballingarry by 5-1 to 1-1 in the second half of the game to win by two points and the scores in the second half for Dromcollogher/ Broadford were: Brian Stack (2-0), James Molyneaux (1-0), Robert McCarthy (1-0), Adam Cotter (1-0) and Graham Roche (0-1).

Referee: Donnach O'Callaghan.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 117th draw took place on Tuesday Night September 9th, in Begley's Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 7, 20, 29 and 30, there was no winner of jackpot at €12,900 and there also was no winner of the match three at €100 and the 2 lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Marie McLoughlin, Knocktoosh, Broadford and Kathleen Kiely, Dromcollogher and the next draw will took place on Monday September 15th, in Corner House, Dromcollogher, with the jackpot went up to €13,000 (win or share) and with the match three went up to  €150 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Results of the 118th draw took place on last Monday Night September 15th, in the Corner House, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 15, 16, 20 and 23, there was no winner of jackpot at €13,000 and there were two winners of the match three at €150 and they each got €75 and they were: Pa Cregan, Rowels, Meelin and James Glavin, Feenagh and the 2 lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Mike Cunningham, Broadford and Eamonn Forde, Ashford and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday September 22nd, in Neenan's Bar, Broadford, with the jackpot going up to €13,100 (win or share) and with the match three coming back down to  €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Membership for the above club €20 playing and non-playing in both adults and Students for this year is now overdue since March 31st, please pay to the relevant people you are not covered to play unless you have your membership paid in full.
