This was a very tight game with the current champions Dromcollogher/ Broadford pulling away from Pallasgreen in the last 15 minutes of the game scoring 1-12 without reply from Pallasgreen to book to our play in the semi-final for the 15th time in a row against the winners of Ballylanders, on Saturday September 27th, venue and time to be announced.  Please Support our Senior Footballers.

Killian Phair scored a goal for Dromcollogher/ Broadford inside the first minute of the game and then Pallasgreen replied with the next two points both coming from Kevin Barry to leave a point between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford the scored the next two points coming from Killian Phair and Kevin Noonan and then Pallasgreen replied with the next point coming from Chris McMahon.  Ray Lynch scored another point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Pallasgreen scored the next two points and these points came from Chris McMahon and Kevin Barry just before the end of the half to leave a point between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-3 to Pallasgreen 0-5.

Pallasgreen scored the next four points to take the lead for the first time during the game to lead by three points and with all four points coming from Kevin Barry and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with next two points with the points coming from Micheál Reidy and Killian Phair.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points with Killian Phair and Kevin Noonan scoring two each and Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points with two of these coming from Killian Phair and the other point coming Seanie Buckley.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the three points again with two of these coming from Patrick Donnelly and other point from Killian Phair.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored a penalty late in the game after Micheál Brosnan was brought down in the square and Seanie Buckley roofed the penalty a cracker of a goal to give us a victory on the night by 12 points.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-15 to Pallasgreen 0-09.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 117th draw took place on last Monday Night last September 1st, in Begley's Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 5, 8, 18 and 26, there was no winner of jackpot at €12,900 and there was two winners of the match three at €100, they each got €50 and they were: Joan Browne, Killeedy and Pauline Begley, Broadford and the 2 lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Marie McLoughlin, Knocktoosh, Broadford and Kathleen Kiely, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday September 15th, in Nunan's Bar, Dromcollogher, with the jackpot going up to €13,000 (win or share) and with the match three staying at  €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Sympathy

To Noonan and Forde Family on death Olivia Noonan (Nee Forde), who died there last Saturday night, Olivia Noonan wife of Ben Noonan (an employee with Limerick City and County Council), Ben is currently the manager our Senior Footballers and also a former player, may she rest in peace.

Membership for the above club €20 playing and non-playing in both adults and Students for this year is now overdue since March 31st, please pay to the relevant people you are not covered to play unless you have your membership paid in full.
