The Galbally Minor Footballers were beaten after extra time in an enthralling and absorbing County Final on Saturday last by 3-15 to 0-15. In testing weather conditions, they gave their all, and were unlucky to lose Peter Morrissey, Shane Hanrahan and Cathal O’Mahony to injury. Sometimes a defeat, while disappointing, can be an influential milestone in the development of players, and with only four players overage, the bulk of the squad can aim to go one better in 2020.
