Eileen Leonard memorial cup and Fun Day

Next Saturday 24 August Cappamore GAA and Camogie will host a fun day for all hurlers and Camogie players from U6 upwards. This promises to be a great day out with a long Puck competition, crossbar challenge, sidecut competition and skills challenge for all age groups. 

Afterwards the Eileen Leonard challenge memorial cup will take place at 5:45pm. 

Competitions starting at 4pm please arrive early to register your entry.

 

U16 Hurling Championship Div. 1

Doon 1-8 vs 0-11 Cappamore

Mon 12 August in Doon

Another draw in a hard fought match played in good conditions in front of a large attendance. Cappamore opened the scoring with 2 points after 10 mins however Doon scored without reply 1-2 and lead at half time 1-3 to 0-5. On the restart we started the better and forged ahead. In a tight finish Doon having been down a point scored from a free to equalise.

U16 Football Championship Div. 2A

Cappamore 5-13 vs 1-4 Belville Gaels. 

Thu 15 August in Cappamore. 

Cappamore advance to the U16 Div 2A final with a comprehensive win over Belville Gaels. They go on to meet Killacolla in the final.

Intermediate Hurling Championship

Cappamore 2-17 vs 1-18 Blackrock 

Sat 17 August in Kilteely. 

Following on from their win against Pallasgreen last week Cappamore kept the momentum going with another important win over Blackrock. 

 

U8s Camogie

Cappamore vs Murroe/Boher 

Thu 15 August in Cappamore 

Another great evening of camogie for the under 8 girls last Thursday evening when they hosted Murroe/Boher under 8 girls, with great support from parents and extended family. 

Team: Anna Ryan, Abby Mulcahy, Sally Ryan, Saoirse Ryan, Kate Sheehy, Éabha Ní Mháille, Mia O'Toole, Aoibheann Gleeson, Grace Ryan, Lauren Heney, Daire Hayes, Grace Ryan. The girls will be taking part in a blitz on Saturday 24th August at St. Ailbes Camogie club at 11am. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. 

 

U8 Hurling

Cappamore vs Murroe/Boher 

Thu 15 August in Cappamore 

Another friendly challenge vs Murroe/Boher for the last match of the summer hilidays. Both teams evenly matched in both numbers and skill levels. We split the group into an U8 match and an U7 match. 

Team captain for the U7s was Tom Earlie while Danny Dillon captained the U8s. 

Great performance by both teams and great support by parents. 

U8 team:

Danny Dillon, Liam Kennedy, Óisín Dillon, Thomas O'Brien, Gearóid O'Máille, Rory Mccarthy, Conor Ryan, Seán O'Malley and Darragh Blackwell. 

U7 team:

Tom Earlie, Andrew Shanahan, James Taafe, Colin Burke, Denis O'Malley, Seán O'Dwyer, Óisín Mulcahy, Fionn Hogan, Bill Hayes and Jack Maher
