JUNIOR HURLING: Our Junior A team have played a challenge game against Effin on Tuesday July 3rd in Caherconlish. This was a game where, for the most part, we played the better hurling and didn't look out of place competing against the Intermediate side. Effin got the 1st score of the game, a point in the 4th minute, but Caherline owned the sliothar after that, scoring 3-09 before Effin managed their second point in the 25th minute, our goals coming from Andrew Brennan (2) and Paudie Wixted. Effin pulled a goal back in the 26th minute, but Caherline responded with their 4th goal a minute later, thanks to Eoin Nelligan, the first half finishing 4-11 to 1-04. Effin came out that bit hungrier in the second half and while we played some good hurling throughout the half, we were probably too loose at times, Effin outscoring us 1-10 to 0-07, final score on the night Caherline 4-18 Effin 2-14.

U-16 HURLING: Well done to our U-16's on a great game of hurling in Caherconlish on Thursday evening last, July 5th. This was a game that started well for Croagh Kilfinny Rathkeale, getting an early goal and a few points and it took our lads some time to grow into the game. But the lads responded, upped the physicality levels and started to take their scores, included some great goals, to lead at half time by 4 points, 3-06 to 2-05. The 2nd half was nip & tuck, both teams getting some good scores, but Caherline always kept their noses in front by one or two points and despite some prolonged pressure from the opposition late on, Caherline held on for a well deserved win, 4-11 to 3-12.
