Connacht club championship

(Oldest Posts First)

How do we feel our senior and intermediate county champions will fair in the connacht series? Not a easy task for both clubs.

Mohill will get beaten against Corofin no doubt about that, hopefully Mohill don't get disgraced and don't get as big of a beating as Aughawillan last year. There shouldn't be much between Melvin Gaels and Easkey. Melvin Gaels will win hopefully but the winners of that I think play the Mayo intermediate champs which will be either Hollymount- Carramore or The Neale who play this weekend. Whichever Mayo team it is will win well in the next round. It's sad to say but that's the truth of it.

Let's be honest the Mayo intermediate champs would probably win our senior championship easily that's the reality of the standard of club football in Leitrim and other counties.

Club football in Sligo is in an all time lull lads. I'd heavily fancy your inter champs to beak Easkey and beat them well

Melvin Gaels to scrape a win

Mohill to get a hammering.

Best of luck Mohill on Sunday. Do yourselves and the rest of the county proud. From the replay, I'm thinking let the ball in long first time!

Wishing Mobil the best of luck as well as Kiltubrid ladies. But kicking in the ball long caused absolutely no problem to Manor. If ye have it Corofin don't and then they can't score. The Corofin attack is their weapon. Hold them to around 15 points is a hell of a task.

Hard luck Melvin Gaels who were by all accounts very unlucky not to progress to a Connacht Final yesterday. That Hollymount team are second in div 1a in Mayo so no mean feat to compete and almost beat them over 80 minutes. It's interesting that Leitrim teams tend to do quite well in the intermediate provincial championship while at senior level the gap between a few top clubs like Castlebar, Corofin, Brigids (although not this year) and the rest is massive and makes it nearly impossible for other clubs to compete
