Shambolic effort from fixtures committee!

(Oldest Posts First)

A new low in Leitrim GAA this year, as of yet no master fixtures set. No fixtures on co Board website until Wednesday morning is the new norm making it very difficult for mentors and players alike to plan their weekend. The lack of respect that I have detected in recent years seems to have grown to a new level this year. The county's success has nothing to do with it as those games have been fixed since October! Add all this to the fact you have a secretary who is not too obliging in changing times of games regardless of both teams and referee being happy. Hagan's success is despite the co board rather them deserving any plaudits. Incompetence springs to mind!

The county board has serious questions to answer, its disgraceful that the master fixture list is not out, how are managers meant to prepare for when the championship starts or even for club players to book a week away or so on, theres no regard for club players.

Was plannen on heading to dungarvan with the new girlfriend to propose Saturday

But club comes first here im afraid

And still can't see the fixtures for some reason

Imagine what next weeks fixtures will be like with Monday being a bank holiday

They probably won't pit them up until the following week

The Sean sammon memorial tournament in aughnasheelin is scheduled for Sunday and the county board were asked and agreed not to fix games for the teams taking part. It just shows the boards lack of respect for aughnasheelin and surrounding clubs. A disgrace.

Fully agree ouryear

But if you notice had the event been for st Marys kiltoghert or glencar manorhamilton gaa club no other fixtures would be organised county wide

I do believe the chairman and secretary have strong connections to both clubs

And next weekend is a free weekend with no national holiday thats celebrated as part of our heritage and no fixtures???
