A few medals means you represented a county other than Leitrim or you are female 94?

Conor Beirne overlooked for intermediate player again! Although I think FergalClancy is a terrific player Beirne should have got it! Scored over 6-30 or 6-40 in the championship!
I actually think he should have got it last year too! Scored 8 - 54 in last year championship (according to reports) and they got knocked out in quarter final!

Although Conor had a great year he was not eligible for intermediate player of the year
Because he had played at intercounty level this year in league and championship
And have had said that it would have been a close call between Fergal and Conor as the two had great
Intermediate seasons ...

@halfwayline if I may set the cat among the turkeys

Stephen feeney plays intercounty hurling for leitrim and club hurling for manorhamilton

So it would reel the same basis for conor Beirnethat both men played club and county level this year

And both men I have mentioned Beirne and feeney are talented players

I just used the example after reading the list

I do believe conor Beirne singlehandedly out scoring manorhamilton in a county rnal deserves player of the year

And I do believe the majority will agree

If he outscored Manorhamilton would eslin not have won the Final???

He did at full time 60 minutes bananapublican

The manor goal was in injury time

Looking back on it if one of the eslin backs had taken the young manor lad on even in one of these "cynical" style tackles the worst it would have resulted in would have been a yellow and a free with a point for manor instead of the goal

Eslin would have won the final but hindsight is a great thing

So injury time isn't before full time 94??some of the logic is unreal

@slm yes injury time is an addition

Club games consist of 30 minutes per half at adult level 60minutes is full time

Injury time could be anything from 1 second to another 30 minutes being at the referees discretion

Thats why it's called additional or injury time

Believe it or not some games do actually end after 60 minutes of play

@halfwayline I did say in hindsight

So it will be a lesson learnt at the expense of an intermediate medal

Next year a year older and wiser

Now yet gone totally off the subject!
All I was pointing out is I thought Conor should have gotten it this year and in my opinion which I am entitled to, he should have got it last year too! Remember Bernard brogan won the player of the year, Dublin were knocked out in the quarter!
I don't understand halfwaylines logic though 'not eligible' for me this is totally ridiculou! If he played intermediate football, he therefore is eligible and may I also point out in never played inter county championship!

@ 94allstar....full time is when final whistle is blown...after any added time needed

@slm full time in club football in the GAA is 60 minutes

Additional time is at the referees discretion as I stated earlier

Intercounty is 70 minutes plus added time for injury stoppages or extra time

Soccer is normally 90 minutes

My point being the majority of bookies offer a fulltime score at +0/70/90 minutes WITHOUT STOPPAGE TIME

If you google the rules you will find what im saying is actually true

Stoppage time cannot be determined as full time as it varies from game to game

@sl4 I agree the whole point of competing in any competition is to win

If your not allowed to win for such political reasons as playing for your county and club then why bother as it just takes the goodness and sport out of it
