Declan Maxwell

(Oldest Posts First)

I think Declan Maxwell getting the county player of the year was a great tribute to the man he has giving great service to both club or county.
He treats the game with respect and never looks for trouble on or off the field.

Maybe im giving credit where its merited.
Look at Leitrims FBD league showings without him in the team and then look at there improved performances with him in the team I think it speaks for itself

great player. feel sorry for him though. he gets lumped into ful forward when things are going bad for us. because leitrim dont have quality forwards the opposition can afford to put two lads on him. then it becomes pointless having him in the box. i dont like to see him running with the ball though. management should focus on putting him where he can utilise his two main skills- winning the ball and scoring. great respect for him.

melvinman, i'm a fan of fullforwards that "can win ball and score" as would most managers

charlot, thats what im saying. he should be left in fullforward and not let roam the wings. he's an out and out full forward, you're an out and out eegit

I agree full-forward hit early ball into him and let him do the rest

A big blow to our chances of promotion but there is a chance for some of the lads to step up to the mark and make an impression on the team.
I would like to wish Declan all the best with his op and a speedy recovery.
Lets hope he makes it back to full fitness for the ross game and if not may I tempt fate and say the Connacht Final!!!!
Oh the thoughts of it and it is only February.
