Mohill club notes

Mohill

Well done to players and Management who reached great heights on Sunday last in Pairc Seán and brought home the Dick Ellis Cup once more. The game was one of the best in recent times and great credit must go to Padraic Davis and his management team of Pete McWade, James Murray, Gavin Tonera and Ian Higgins who got these boys to this level of fitness. We thank our faithful supporters who came out in droves. Commiserations to the Manor team who put up a great fight, very little separated the teams and the game could have swung either way thankfully we came out on the right side. There was great jubilations as the team with a police escort entered the town on the back of a lorry decorated by Reynolds's Hardware. We thank everyone who donated sponsorship and will acknowledge everyone soon

Junior B

The Juniors started the weekend off on a high note by capturing the Junior B Championship on Saturday in Kiltubrid. With ten minutes to go Mohill were five points down and Manorhamilton were cruising but our boys staged an amazing comeback to win by one. This was a mixture of old and young players. 18 year old Tadhg Mulligan was man of the match and veteran Martin McDermott of unknown age was the captain.
