Féile Peil na nÓg

The Under 14s travelled to Cavan at the weekend to take part in Féile Peil na nÓg. Fintan Greenan generous as usual sponsored a complete kit of track suits and bags for the lads. Our other great sponsors, Lough Rinn Castle treated the team to a hearty breakfast before they headed to their host club Cootehill. They lost their first game to Dicksboro 3-6 to 0-4, but immediately after they beat Dromhamlet 6-10 to 2-2. On Saturday they lost to Buttevant 0-8 to 0-3  but then had a good win over their hosts Cootehill 3-14 to 0-6. All in all a great weekend with their mentors, Paul Murphy, Kevin Curran, John McGuiness, Caillin Canning and Steve Macklin.

Lipz Sync

The Club is still basking in the afterglow of Lipz Sync. All our generous sponsors will be individually contacted in the next few weeks and unseen workers like Aoife O Brien, Samantha Lupton, Sineád McLoughlin, Harriette,  all these ladies who helped with make-up and hair, will be acknowledged. It was a great night and those who did not take part or didn't attend missed out on something special.

Under 12

Confusion with U13 and U12, U14 and U15, what next year holds for us is a mystery. The under 12s had a win over St Josephs in a very entertaining game in Aughavas last week. The win keeps them in this cross border competition the scorers were, Matthew Murphy 2-5, Senan Curran 0-2, Harry Boyle 1-1, Eoghan Duignan 1-0

Div 1

The Seniors had two hard games last week. On Wed they played Manor in their new resplendent grounds where Ronan Kennedy had the pleasure of scoring the first point there. We came away with a draw after a fast and furious game. Then on Saturday we had County Champions Aughawillan in Pairc Philib. Both sides were minus some of the big guns but after a keenly contested physical game, we managed a good win with scores from R Kennedy 2-4, R Gordon 0-3, S Quinn 0-2, D Mitchell 0-1, R Gallagher 0-1, G Kelly 0-1 A McLoughlin 0-1.

Div 2

The second string had an away win against Allen Gaels on Sunday morning.

Underage Blitz

The underage coaches organised a very successful blitz against neighbours Bornacoola on Saturday morning. Well done all concerned.
