Connacht Junior Champions

Congratulations to the Leitrim Junior team who won the Connacht Championship last week. Mohill had six men playing, James Mitchell, Keith(Squidgy) Keegan,  Oisín Madden, Alan Armstrong(Man of the Match), Domhnaill Flynn, and Shane Quinn. Connacht medals are as scarce as hen's teeth in Mohill so these lads will have hero status for life.

Our Division 3 team had a good win over Drumkeerin on Saturday eve in the park with a scoreline of  3-15 to 2-9. Their next outing is against Allen Gaels on Saturday evening at 7 in Drumshanbo

Div 4

On Sunday morning our third team lost out to Ballinaglera in Division 4 on a scoreline of 3-12 to 1-9. It was good to see Darren Booth and Johnnie Kelly making their return to football. On Wednesday evening at 7pm these lads will play Carrigallen in Pairc Philib and on Sunday at 12 pm they will travel to Dromod to play the home team, so come and support.

Underage Blitz

There was a huge turnout in the park on Saturday morning when the Under 8s and Under 10s took on St Josephs in the first blitz of the season. Both clubs had 2 teams in both age groups and a great morning of fun and football was had by all. We take this opportunity to admire the amazing work put in by the juvenile coaches who come out every Saturdaymorning rain hail or snow, to train the young boys and girls from Mohill and Eslin. Our U11's are now training on Friday evenings from 6.30 -7.30 with Niall Flynn and Niall is a great hit with the boys!

Poker Classic

As part of the Mohill GAA Lipz Sync fundraising the players are running a Poker Classic in Carrolls Public House on Sunday 28 starting at 5pm. The big Lipz Sync event will take place in the Landmark Hotel on June 10, so keep that date free in your diary as nearly everyone in the parish is involved. The MC on the night is our own Katherine Lynch, she will add more sparkle to the night and the judges are also well known personalities whose names will be revealed soon.

Under 13

These boys had a good win over Ballinamore during the week scoring 6-10 in the process, they now are in the shield final, so watch fixtures for time and place

U 15

Carrick proved too strong for this age group in thir final League game on Tues last. Most of the team will be U 15 next year, so that's a bonus

Forthcoming Lipz Sync events

Cake Sale

Patricia Flynn is running one of her legendary Cake Sales on Sunday 4 after Mass. Last year Patricia pulled out all stops and had a great variety of confectionery and this year will be no different. Come out and gorge yourself.

Mothers and Others are hosting a waxing strip in Cusacks the same weekend.  Bord na nÓg will hold a Tea Party on the night of Sunday 4 in Spirit Bar. More about all these next week.
