Park Development

As part of our Park Development project some of our Park Development Committee members joined John Lynch on Shannonside Saturday Sport at the weekend to talk about the project and our plans for the club and our facilities going forward.

Noel McManus Memorial Run

The Noel McManus Memorial 5K and 10k runs take place this Friday (Good Friday). Noel lived right across from the club grounds and was always willing to give a helping hand around the park. Registration starts at Lough Rynn Castle from 10 am Friday morning with the run taking place at 12 noon Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all categories. Refreshments will be served in the Castle after the run.

 

Last Man Standing

Our National League Last Man Standing competition concluded this weekend, and at the end of all games there were two people left standing, so congratulations to Bobby O'Rourke and Barry Costello who share the prize. Thanks to all who entered.

 

New Club Website

A new club website has been in development in the last while and is now ready to go live. The website will be a central point of information for club news, fixtures and results, and all club events. Keep an eye out on Facebook and Twitter for more details in the coming days.

 

Weekend Results

The Seniors got off to a great start in Division 1 on Saturday evening with a three-point win over St Mary's in Carrick on Shannon. An end to end move that started from a Niall Tiernan kick out ended with Cathal McCrann fisting the ball into the net for the goal that proved the difference at the full-time whistle. Score Gortletteragh 1-11 St Mary's 0-11. Team: N Tiernan, D Ward, D Mulvey, G Campbell, J Reynolds, N Woods, J Campbell, F Flynn, M Duignan, E Ward, J Heslin, J Leonard, P Gallagher, C McCrann, B Tiernan. Upcoming Fixtures

The Senior team host Drumkeerin in Round 2 of the Division 1 League @ 7pm in Cornageeha this Saturday. The lads have got off to a great start and all support for them would be hugely appreciated.

 

Underage Fixtures

Rinn Gaels U17's, fresh from a win over Leitrim Gaels last week, are away to Annaduff this evening Wednesday @ 7pm


Gortletteragh U15 who are also coming off the back of a win against Melvin Gaels last week, host Annaduff in the park on Friday evening @ 7pm

 

Underage Training

Underage training for U6's, U8's and U10's began last Saturday morning with a big crowd of kids at the park having fun and learning the skills of the game. Their program of blitz competitions will be soon underway. Training continues every Saturday morning at 10.30.

 

Underage Quiz Night

The Annual Underage Table Quiz will take place on Friday 28th April in the Community Centre. Medals will also be presented to last year's victorious underage teams on the night. More details in the coming weeks but keep the date free in your diary
