Under 21's:
On Sunday last our Under 21 team who are amalgamated with Fenagh defeated Glencar/Manorhamilton to reach the Championship Final where they take on neighbours Mohill. This was a close encounter all the way through as our supporters were kept on the edge of their seats for a second week in a row in Pairc Sean. The final score was 0-9 to 0-7. Team: Niall Tiernan, Ronan Ellis, Gary Butler, Niall Mulvey, Richard Heaney, David Mulvey, Evan Ward, Niall Woods, Donal Wrynne, Francie Flynn, John Reynolds, Barry Tiernan, Ryan O'Rourke, Padraig Gallagher, Jack Heslin. Subs used: Shane Doonan, David Campbell, Darren McLoughlin.
Gortletteragh GAA Club Supporters Draw 2015:
Tickets are now on sale for the Gortletteragh Supporters Draw 2015. This year we are replacing the monthly draw with a once off draw on February 14th. Prizes as follows: 1st €3000, 2nd €1500, 3rd One night B & B and Evening Meal for two people sharing in Lough Rynn Castle Hotel, 4th €100, 5th €100, 6th €100, 7th €100, 8th €100. Tickets are €20 and they are on sale from any Club Member or player.
Under 21 Championship Final:
Saturday next all roads lead to Pairc Sean when our Under 21's take on Mohill in the Championship Final at 2pm. We haven't won a championship at this level since 1981. Shane Heslin, Frank Flynn, Tom Ward and Joe Reynolds were on that team, all of whom have sons playing next Saturday. Before that win in 1981 we had 2 other wins i.e., 1977 and 1978, ironically as part of an amalgamation with Mohill. We wish our young men, their Fenagh team-mates, the Management team of Sean Hynes, Tom Ward, Padraig Flynn and Justin Flynn all the best of luck in the Final.
