Kiltubrid notes

SCOR
Representing Kiltubrid at Scor na nOg County Semi-Final in Drumshanbo on Saturday night were Alana McGovern, Amy Moran, Barry McWeeney, Ciara Ferry, Claire McWeeney, Danny McWeeney, Eadaoin Lee,  Helen McLoughlin and Orla McWeeney. Well done to everyone for all the hard work and effort put in and for magnificent performances on the night.  Congratulations to the music group who secured a place in the County Final due to be held in the Bee Park, Manorhamilton on Sunday 14 December.


SCOR NA MBUNSCOILEANNA
Last calls for anyone wishing to take part in Scor na mBunscoileanna which is scheduled for Thursday 22 January and Friday 23 January in Drumshanbo Community Centre.  There are eleven events in this competition, as follows:  Question Time, Figure Dance, Solo Singing, Music Group, Solo Dance, Recitation, Novelty Act, Solo Music, Sean Nos Dance, Ballad Group and Set Dance.  Participants must be attending Drumcong N.S. to be eligible to enter this competition.  Anyone wishing to enter, contact Mary OConnor on (087) 2383322.


CLUB AGM
On Saturday night last we held our AGM in the club rooms. The various reports outlined the busy year that has just passed both on and off the pitch. Outgoing officers were thanked for their contribution to the club and incoming officers are wished well in their new positions. The following are the officers for 2015. Vice Chairman Damien Mc Weeney, Secretary Vincent Lee. Underage Secretary Noelle Easterbrook, Treasurer Eoin Meehan, Assistant Treasurer John Flynn, PRO Patricia Lee, Coaching Officer Owen Dolan, Club Development Officer PJ Meehan, Childrens Officer Michael Mc Kiernan, IT officer Eoin Meehan, Club Registrar Patricia Lee, Alcohol and Substance Abuse Oddicer Anne Mc Nabola and Insurance Officer PJ Meehan.


GAA NATIONAL CLUB DRAW
The club are currently selling €10 tickets for the GAA National Club Draw which takes place in February 2015. 15 fantastic prizes are on offer from Croke Park ranging from a trip away with the 2015 All Stars, travel vouchers, shopping vouchers and All Ireland ticket packages. All persons who purchase a ticket or tickets from the club allocation will be entered in a separate club draw. While this is a national draw, all monies raised by the club will stay in the club so we kindly ask for your support in the coming weeks.


LEITRIM SPORT STAR AWARD
Congratulations to John King, Drumshanbo Vocational School teacher on winning the Sports Star Hall of Fame Award. John has been coaching volleyball in the vocational school for many years and had many Kiltubrid students on his winning teams during this time. On behalf of Kiltubrid GAA we wish to congratulate John. All his hard work and dedication to the sport has been unbelievable. The award presentation will take place in the Landmark Hotel on Saturday night next.
