Kiltubrid notes

September 23, 2014

Fixtures & results
The under 16 team had a win last Friday evening in round 2 of the championship against Drumkeernan at home in Kiltubrid, final score being 3-20 to 1-3. We are next scheduled to play away to Glen Gaels this week so please check elsewhere for confirmation of this fixture.
The under 12 team play Melvin Gaels away in Kinlough this Monday evening, Sept 22nd and  we entertain, Allen Gaels,  at home in Kiltubrid next Monday Sept 29th at 7 pm.
Our division 2 & 4 league games are effectively completed for 2014.  Our second team, having ended up runners up in division 4 , will play Augnasheelin in the division 4 league final.  This is provisionally scheduled to be played this coming Friday night, September 26th, under Lights in Cloone at 8 pm.  Best of luck to all involved and we hope to see a large Kiltubrid contingent out in support.

Club meeting
A club meeting takes place on Tuesday night, September 23rd, at 8:30 pm in the Park.  Hope to see you all there.

Junior and Minor Championship Finals
As you will know we are also through to both these finals.  We encourage all our supporters in the parish to get up the red and green to show your support for both teams.  The minor final is fixed for Sunday week in Pairc Sean Mac Dairmuda.  The date for the Junior championship final hasn't been confirmed yet as our potential finalists', St Marys or Dromahaire, are both still involved in the upcoming senior and intermediate finals.  It is likely that we will have to wait until the intermediate final is played to see who we play in the Junior championship final.  However in the meantime get your flags and bunting up, we hope to have some flags and club merchandise for sale in local businesses shortly.

Underage coaching
Last Saturday morning our under 8 & 10's boys teams travelled to Dromod for a blitz, where we played both Bornacoola and Kilglass. While also on Saturday morning our underage girl's teams played a blitz in Mohill. It was evident to see on Saturday morning how a number of our underage players have come on in leaps and bounds this year.  This is as a result of both regular attendance at the Saturday morning coaching sessions and practising regularly at home.  Parents are asked to ensure that all of our underage players are encouraged at home to practice their football skills for a couple of minutes each day.  All you need is a ball and away you go.

Club 5K
We hope your training is going well for our upcoming 5 K which takes place in 4 weeks on the 19th October.

Engagement
Congratulations and best wishes from all in Kiltubrid GAA, to Alan Clarke and Carmel O'Rourke on their recent engagement.
