Sean Hagan is set to remain on as Leitrim senior football manager for another season.

The Longford man led Leitrim to a successful defence of the FBD Connacht league title in his first season at the helm but their league and championship campaigns were disappointing.

He only had a one-year term at the helm but it is expected that Hagan will be renominated and will take charge of the team again in 2015.

Hagan said he would consider his position in the aftermath of Leitrim's SF Qualifier defeat to Down and has since made no public comment, but it is reported in The Leitrim Observer that the county executive decided at a meeting last week to reappoint the outgoing boss.

They will now meet with Hagan to outline both partys' plans going forward before putting the nomination to the county's clubs.
