Congratulations

Congratulations to Sarah McLoughlin and Laura O'Dowd and all the Leitrim ladies on their wonderful victory in the Connaght Championship final against Sligo in Castlebar last Sunday. This was a wonderful victory for everyone involved and hopefully the girls can continue their success.

Club Results

Last Saturday's Intermediate Football Championship match against Eslin ended in defeat for SOH lads losing by 2 points with a final score of 2-9 to 0-13. This defeat leaves SOH at the foot of the Championship table with their next match a must win game against Glencar Manorhamilton.
Sunday's Leitrim Junior Football Championship match against Allen Gaels saw SOH claim their first championship victory with a score of 2-10 to 0-13. This win leaves them second in the table on 2 points. Hopefully they can claim another victory in the next championship match against Gael na Meilge.
Last Thursday the SOH Under 12 girls lost to St Mary's Carrick by a score of 4-9 to 3-7. It was a great game and good effort from the girls and hopefully they will gain a victory in their next match.

FÁS Vacancy in Páirc Sheáin Uí Eislin

There is a vacancy at the moment on the CE Scheme in the Park for a person to work on the park maintenance. Persons must be eligible under the FÁS criteria. Applications must be made before Wednesday 9th July. More details from Social Welfare Office, Carrick on Shannon or FÁS Carrick on Shannon. Also on the FÁS website.

Hurling Camp

There will be a hurling camp on 21st & 22nd July from 10am-1pm in Pairc Sheáin Uí Eislin Ballinamore. The cost is €10 per child. Ages 5-14. A free helmet is to be won by one lucky participant. Please contact Paddy O'Connor 087 9528944.

Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of the late Miley McKeon who passed away on Tuesday 1st July. All at Sean O Heslin's would like to pass on our deepest sympathies to his son Seán Óg and daughter Teresa and his extended family and friends. Miley was a great supporter of the Seán O'Heslin's lotto and the Club and will be missed by all. Go ndéana Dia trócaire air.

Sympathy is also extended to the family and friends of the late Vera McCarthy who passed away in her 104th year in Dalkey, Co Dublin on 5th July. Vera was a former County Librarian in Ballinamore. Vera's son, Michael, won a senior championship for SOH in 1967. Everyone at the club would like to pass on our condolences to all her family and friends. Go ndéana Dia trócaire uirthi.

Leinster Final

A coach is being organised to take all Under 10 and Under 12 boys and girls to the Leinster Final of Dublin vs Meath on Sunday 20th July. Further details in next weeks notes. Please contact Pamela Keegan or team mentors if interested.

Under 8 & Under 10 Football Training

Under 8 training (boys & girls) is on Mondays at 630pm, Under 10 Boys takes places on Tuesdays at 7pm and Under 10 Girls is Saturday at 10am.
