Kiltubrid GAA Club Notes

Fixtures & results
The minor team played their last league game on Good Friday in Kiltubrid, we ended being defeated by Dromahair by a few points. While on Saturday evening our first team were beaten by Dromahairs second string in division 2 of the league. The final score being 1-12 to 0-14. We are fixed to play Manorhamilton on Sunday next April 27th in both Division 2 and Division 4 of the league. Strangely the division 2 games fixed at home at 12 noon in Kiltubid while the division 4 game is fixed away in Manorhamilton at 3 pm. That's some planning.
Best wishes to the under 14 team who play Annaduff in the League final this coming Friday, April 25th. The venue is St Marys in Carrick at 7 pm so please come along to support the team.
The 2014 under 16 league commences next Monday, although Kiltubrid have an a bye in round 1. Our first game in this competition will be on Friday week away to Gortletteragh.

Underage Blitz
The first underage blitz of the year takes place this Saturday morning. A text of the details will be sent to parents later in the week.

Trip to Croke Park
Our under 12 boy's team were selected to go to Croke Park and enjoyed a wonderful day out last Wednesday 16th April. It started off with an interesting trip to the Museum and afterwards three games were played against other Connaught teams.

New Underage Jersey
Many thanks to the very generous person for purchasing a completely new set of underage jerseys for the under 12 team. The sponsor wishes to remain anonymous however this very generous gesture is very much appreciated by all in the club.

Club Night out and Awards night
The annual Club night and awards nights takes place on the May Bank holiday Sunday night, May 4th. All players and club members have received their nomination forms for various award categories. You are asked to return your nominations to Tony Redican in the envelope supplied.

Park Committee meeting
A Park Committee meeting will take place this Wednesday evening, 23rd April from 8 to 9pm at the pitch. This will be a very brief meeting to formulate a plan of the various improvement works that the club will be carrying out over the next few months. If you want to have an input on what you feel is a priority to be done, we would be delighted to hear your views or opinions. If you would like to be involved please come along on Wednesday evening.
