Our Club and parish was saddened on Tuesday morning last on hearing the news of the tragic death of Hubert Murray, Derrien, Aghacashel.

Over the years, Hubert trained many teams both senior mens teams to our own ladies team. He always had a keen interest in all teams and supported the Kiltubrid ladies in the league final only two weeks ago.
Hubert was part of the famous championship winning Kiltubrid team of 1981. He was a well liked clubman and was recognised for his work when he received club person of the year in 1999. Hubert is survived by his wife Anne, his daughters Denise and his large family of brothers and sisters whom we send our sympathies. He will be missed by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace.
