** Underage Medal Presentation **

 

After another successful year with our underage teams we are finishing off with the medal presentation for our U12 Rinn Gaels, U13 Rinn Gaels, U15 Gortletteragh teams, and U13 and U14 regional team players, at 6pm on Sunday 22nd December in the community centre. Our own Leitrim stars Jack Heslin and Cathal McCrann will be joined by Leitrim Senior Player of the Year Shane Moran to present the medals.

 

There will be refreshments served, Christmas fun and entertainment for all the family. To all who’d like to come and celebrate the achievements of our young players you are most welcome. We’re also hearing talk of an appearance by the big man himself for any of our youngsters who want to place any last minute Christmas requests!

 

The draw for our Christmas Hamper will  be taking place on the evening too and cards are available locally for anyone who’d like to support this fundraiser.

** Santa's vs Elves Charity Game **

Gortletteragh GAA grounds will again host the annual Santas vs Elves charity match on St Stephens Day. Last year's match was a huge success raising €2,000 for Leitrim West Cavan branch of Down Syndrome Ireland. This year all proceeds will go to the Gortletteragh / Farnaught Cemeteries Committee to assist with the upgrade works currently underway.

Players of past and present are welcome to take sides in the battle and join in on the day. Throw in is at 2pm. There will be refreshments also on the day to keep the spectators warm.

Admission is optional. All parishioners are encouraged to come along and show their support. For anyone who would like to contribute but can't be there on the day contributions can be forwarded to any member of Farnaught/Gortletteragh Cemeteries Committee (Aiden Kelleher, Dina Duignan, Mary Taylor and Vincent Reynolds).

 

** AGM **

Our 2019 AGM was  held last Saturday evening. Treasurer Colum Fox and Secretary Darren Mulvey presenter comprehensive reports on the clubs year on and off the field. A progress report on our Facilities Development Project was also presented at the meeting. All outgoing officers were reelected for another term, with Mary Healy being elected to the vacant PRO position. 

 

** Club Draw 2020 **

 

Our 2020 fundraising draw will now taking place over the festive periord on Sunday the 29th December in Fox's of Tooman. We have fantastic prizes, with a total of €8000 up for grabs. Prizes are as follows.

3rd Prize: €500

4th Prize: €400

5th Prize: €300

6th Prize: €200

7th Prize: 1 Night B&B + Evening Meal in Lough Rynn Castle

Tickets are €20 and can be purchased from any player or club officer. Sellers are currently doing the rounds in thr parish and surrounding areas so as ever, your support and generousity is hugely appreciated. If you're not in you can't win. 

 

** Club Membership **

Club Membership is now open for 2020. Membership rates are as follows €60 for players, €25 for non players, €30 for students / adults in full time education. Membership payable to Colum Fox or any club officer.
