Laois manager Mick Lillis has described Croke Park's decision to host Laois and Dublin's Leinster SFC clash at Nowlan Park a 'disgrace'.

The O'Moore County will face the defending All-Ireland champions at Kilkenny's home ground, which has raised an eyebrow or two since the announcement was made.

Lillis can't get his head around the decision to host the quarterfinal clash at a hurling venue, but believes that the GAA were looking at the extra revenue from the bigger venue, rather than play it in O'Moore Park where the capacity is smaller.

Speaking to the Leinster Express he said: "I've never had an issue, we'll play wherever we're asked to play, but I think the decision to play the game in Nowlan Park is a disgrace.

"I think it is a shockingly bad decision and it's one the people who voted for it will have to live with, but it's all down to money.

"It's a terrible indictment on the GAA that it's down to money, it's not down to bums on seats, which was the reason given, that there are more seats in Nowlan Park. Sure the Dubs don't want to sit down in Croke Park, why would they want to sit down in Nowlan Park?"
