Camross show battling qualities

Camross selector Peter Dooley was impressed by the players willingness to dig deep to grind out a victory over Ballinakill in the SHC semi-final last Sunday.

Two points separated the sides at the final whistle as Camross booked a final date with Clough-Ballacolla. However, they certainly did not have it all their own way in the semi-final as the underdogs pushed them throughout.

Dooley admitted to the Leinster Express that they had been struggling to find their form ahead of this match, but added that they were delighted to come through it with a win and secured their place in their third consecutive final.

"It's good yeah, because before this we weren't going that well, but they are a great group of players, they are fierce committed," said Dooley.

"I couldn't day enough about them, they are a great bunch of lads, and I hope they get their reward in the final, but we'll have to work hard for it."
