Laois manager Tomas O'Flatharta wants to see some consistency when the NFL starts.

The O'Moore County suffered a heavy defeat to Offaly in their opening O'Byrne Cup clash and followed that up with another defeat to NUI Maynooth a few days later.

However, despite suffering a third defeat to Dublin at the weekend, there was many positives to take from that campaign as O'Flatharta's charges.

"We aren't going to get carried away here, we have a National League game coming up and putting in a performance like that is something we would expect to be repeated," said the Kerry native.

"A once off thing is no use whatsoever to us, we need that to be repeated and repeated. I'm pleased with the work rate and honesty that was there."

Laois begin their National Football League Division Two campaign against Westmeath at Cusack Park in a couple of weeks' time.
