Revenge not in Kenny's thoughts

Mattie Kenny has dismissed suggestions that Dublin will be gunning for revenge when they face Laois in their rescheduled Walsh Cup tie on Thursday night.

The Dubs suffered a shock defeat to Eddie Brennan's men in last summer's All-Ireland SHC preliminary quarter-final, but Kenny insists that won't be on his players' minds at such an early stage in the season.

"No, not in a Walsh Cup game, not at this time of the year," the Dublin manager said in the Irish Daily Mirror.

"I'm sure Laois are doing the same as ourselves, just giving games to guys because the league is starting in three weeks."

Dublin, who registered a 3-20 to 0-18 victory over Carlow at Parnell Park yesterday, will qualify for a Walsh Cup semi-final against Galway if they avoid defeat to the O'Moore County.
