Green-eyed Cunningham looking on

As Galway took their place in the 2015 All-Ireland SHC final, Dublin manager Ger Cunningham looked on "with a bit of jealousy".

The Dubs drew with Anthony Cunningham's side in their Leinster SHC quarter-final on May 31st before losing the replay at Tullamore six days later.

Since then, the Tribesmen have recovered from their provincial decider defeat to the Cats to seal a place in the national decider against the same opposition, while Dublin's season was ended by Waterford at the quarter-final stage.

It's a case of what might have been for the Metropolitans:

"We are probably looking on with a bit of jealousy," their manager admits in The Irish Examiner. "We had Galway for the taking in the first match. Their confidence, as the season progressed, has grown. They have upped the work-rate from previous years. They've taken the pressure of Joe Canning."
