Selector John Drennan says Ballyhale Shamrocks have a special hunger.

The Kilkenny champions are through to the Leinster club hurling final following last weekend's victory over Kilmacud Crokes and Drennan reveals that there's an appetite for further success in the camp:

"Kilcormac will be some challenge," he says in The Kilkenny People. "We played them in a challenge before and they looked a fair outfit. We know what is ahead of us. It won't be easy.

"We learned two years ago after winning the county final that if you pick up injuries they can hurt you. TJ didn't come in then until the Leinster championship. We lost Henry against Oulart. We suffered. You need a full squad. If the lads stay injury-free, we will be okay.

"At the start of the season, your aim is to win the county final. In the dressing-room last week, the players agreed to push on because everything was going to happen so quick in Leinster.

"When you are on the road as long as some of our lads, they know the opportunities won't be too many in the future. That breeds a special hunger."
