Henry Shefflin celebrates Ballyhales win. INPHO

Henry Shefflin still hasn't made a decision about his inter-county future.

The 35-year-old was expected to announce his inter-county retirement after winning an unprecedented 10th All-Ireland senior hurling medal in September, but insisted he still hasn't made his mind up after scoring two points in Ballyhale's Kilkenny SHC final victory over Clara at Nowlan Park yesterday.

"I honestly don't know," he said in an interview with RTE.

"I said I would reflect when the club campaign was over and isn't it great to be able to put it off for another week!

"I've enjoyed my club campaign. Obviously I would have liked to have played more over the summer. I'm enjoying playing games. That's what we all train for.

"The longer I put off the decision the better a place it is to be."

Shefflin was already looking forward to next Sunday's Leinster club semi-final against Kilmacud Crokes at Parnell Park.

"It's a little bit unfair on the club that you don't get the chance to celebrate but I suppose that's the beauty of Kilkenny being successful, that we have to go again," he added.

"We have to go to Dublin the week after the county final so it's going to be a serious battle. (But) It's a great place to be."
