Johnstownbridge manager Emmett McDonnell admitted that it was great to get a win over Leixlip in the SFC, but he added that some of the refereeing decisions left him bewildered.

Favourites JTB had a three-point win over Leixlip last weekend, and obviously their manager was happy with the win.

However, he stressed to the Leinster Leader that some of the decision made by the referee left him bemused by the end of the game.

"It is great to get the win over Leixlip, a verey experienced team, while our side are very young and inexperienced," said McDonnell.

"There were some harsh decisions that went against us; the decision at the end when our player was close lined and the player gets a yellow; there was also a black card incident early in the game and the players just gets a yellow while our guy gets a red card for practically doing nothing, merely slapping at the ball, but it's about the performance and the win on the day."
