Kildangan GAA Club visit Newbridge Greyhound stadium this Friday (29th May) for a Family Fun night at the dogs. This year's event will benefit St. Brigid's Hospice, The Curragh. Family entertainment will be provided including bouncing castles and a novelty race. There will be a colouring competition for Kildangan National School with the winners to determine who will lead out the greyhounds on the night. A ticket for the night costs just €10, with under 14s free. This includes admission and race card. Local businesses are invited to sponsor races and have their name included on the race card. All are welcome to attend, so please come and support this club and their fundraiser. Senior Football

Kildangan Seniors maintained our good form of recent games with a 5-4 to 0-8 win against Sarsfields tonight. The win keeps alive the hopes of a league semi-final spot with three rounds remaining. The team travelled to Moorefield on Monday evening. See our website for more information. There are two rounds left with home ties against Ellistown and Castledermot.

Abbey Rangers

It was a great week for the under 14 team as they ran out 10-14 to 2-10 winners over a young Grange team on Monday (18th May) evening in Ballykelly, followed by an impressive 5-14 to 0-9 win away to Milltown on the Wednesday. Strength and fresh legs on the bench in the second half saw the Rangers over the line in the Monday fixture, which was played in strong winds. The Ballykelly-Kildangan amalgamation capitalised on any of Milltown's errors in Wednesday's game, and another determined second half ensured there was only going to be one winner. Well done to the team and mentors.

Juvenile Football

Congratulations to Kildangan Under 6 Team on their recent performance in the Ellistown Blitz. The team played against Athy, Ellistown and Round Towers and showed great skill and determination. The players have come on leaps and bounds within the last few weeks and are showing encouraging signs for the future. Thanks also go to Ellistown for a well organised and very successful blitz. Fixtures of the upcoming under 9 and under 11 leagues can be found on our website.
