Kildangan GAA Notes

April 10, 2015

Bag Pack

Kildangan GAA were delighted to help fundraise for Habitat for Humanity Ireland by bag packing in Tesco Kildare Town on Easter Saturday. Habitat for Humanity works with homeowners and volunteers to construct, renovate, or refurbish homes using donations of money, land and materials both at home and abroad. A huge thank you goes out to all the volunteers who helped make the day a success, the Tesco customers who contributed so generously, and of course to Tesco for facilitating the fundraiser.

Senior Football

Kildangan were due to start the league last Tuesday away to Rathangan, but due to Árdscoil Rath Iomgháin competing in the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Senior C final, the game could not go ahead. It will take place in the near future. Monasterevan visited More O'Ferrall Park on Monday this week. See our website for the result: http://kildangan.kildare.gaa.ie

Abbey Rangers

The minors are through to the Division 4 final following a 2-12 to 1-11 win over Grangenolvin in Ballykelly last Wednesday. The Rangers were down by five points at half time, but a great second half display from the team saw them come out on top. The under 14 team will feature in the Féile C Shield final after they beat Cappagh 7-8 to 6-8. Well done to both teams. We will announce the dates and times for final fixtures as soon as possible.

Juvenile Football

The Kildangan under 10 and under 12 teams were back in action last week with games against Suncroft and Milltown respectively. The under 10s play Robertstown at home on Tuesday at 6.45pm, while the under 12s travel to Grangenolvin on Thursday with a throw-in time of 6.45pm. The contact details of mentors for our underage teams along is available on our website, so please get in contact if you have any queries.
