Handball (Amended Note)

• On Friday 27th in Ballymore, Sean Muddiman proved far too strong for Louth opponent Marc McCullogh, winning the U/17 title in impressive style 0n a 21-3, 21 -4 scoreline. (Yesterday's summary on this match mentioned that this was Sean's first Leinster title. It has been brought to attention that this was incorrect. The text has now been amended and the error is regretted)
• This was followed on Saturday in Tinryland by an equally convincing Leah Doyle who had no trouble whatever in retaining her U/14 title against Carlow girl Laura Donovan with a 15-3; 15-2 result.
• On Sunday, also at the Tinryland venue, Abby Tarrant, despite losing her first game by the narrowest of margins, showed great skill and resolve to take the U/13 Leinster title on a score of 14-15, 15-8, 15-3 against Laois girl Lauren McGuigan
• Finally, on the same programme, Mollie Dagg and Jade Treacy had far too much power and expertise for an inexperienced Wexford pairing of Chloe Doyle and Ciara Parnell, taking the U/14 doubles 15-7, 15-1
