Three SFC quarterfinals down for decision

September 17, 2014

There are three senior football championship quarterfinals down for decision over the coming weekend.

The action begins on Friday night with two games due to be played as defending champions Moorefield take on Johnstownbridge at Hawkfield (8pm) and over in Kilcock, league champions Celbridge face Carbury.

Both games should be tight affairs, but Moorefield and Celbridge are tipped to come through with Carbury's Paddy Brophy a major doubt for the game.

Then on Saturday, Sarsfields play Maynooth and the Newbridge side are favourites to come through this one, even though they have their injury concerns ahead of the match.

The last quarterfinal between Allenwood and Athy will take place on Friday week.
