Kildangan GAA Notes

August 11, 2014
Kildangan Seniors bowed out of the Championship with an eight point defeat by Ellistown on Sunday evening last. The final scoreline of 2:12 to 1:07 tells it's own story however as always the team played right to the end.
The new blood introduced to the senior team certainly augurs well for the future, this team has plenty of potential, and they did Kildangan, themselves, and their families proud on the day and throughout the championship.

With the Senior season ending all that remains is to thank the manager, selectors, physios, players and supporters for everything in 2014.

Underage
Kildangan under 13s had a fantastic run in the South Board league, just missing a semi-final slot on scoring difference. We had two losses from the five games, in both cases to eventual finalists St. Laurences and Moorefield. The under 13s start their Bord na nOg league campaign on 24th August. No fixtures have been released yet, however we are graded along with Ballykelly, Castlemitchell, Ellistown, Grange and Nurney which promises a few mouthwatering games. Full fixtures will be on the Kildangan GAA website in the coming days.

The Under 11 league also resumes in the coming weeks, again we await fixtures from the South Board

The minor championship commences on Tuesday 19th August, where Barrow Gaels have an away trip to Raheens. The game is fixed for 7.30 throw in.
